8/30/2007 Stephen L. Betts Kenny Chesney’s Flip Flop Summer tour is winding down, but a stop tonight (Thursday, 8/30) at New York’s Madison Square Garden marks the first time tourmates Sugarland has performed at the landmark venue. Kristian Bush says he’s counting on the experience to be “mind-blowing for a bazillion different reasons.” Kristian compares it to playing London’s Royal Albert Hall, which he did at age 23. “That made such a mark on me. Playing Madison Square Garden is the only one that could top it.” Kristian and singing partner Jennifer Nettles earned their first CMA nomination this year in the Vocal Duo category. The pair joined Sara Evans early this morning to announce several of the CMA nominations during a live segment on Good Morning America. Pat Green is also along on the Flip Flop Summer tour, which visits Syracuse, NY, and a few other cities before wrapping up with two shows in Atlanta on Sept. 7 and 8.
