Kenny Chesney can now reclaim his spot at the top of the charts as his latest single, "The Boys of Fall," reached No. 1 on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country singles charts this week. Josh Turner was right on Chesney’s tail with "All Over Me," followed by "Roll With Me" by Easton Corbin.

“I think that I’ve been very lucky to have a lot of songs do well, and to have a lot of songs touch a lot of people, but I don't know if I've had a song like 'Boys of Fall,' ever," Chesney said. He felt an instant connection with the song, and thought his fans would feel a connection as well. "When I first heard this song, I knew that there was gonna be a lot of people that heard the lyrics to this song and really be able, not just to relate to it, but they live with it because there are so many lessons that, in life that you learn on the football field that are very parallel with what happens in everyday life."

Chesney’s new album, Hemingway’s Whiskey, was released this week. He will appear on NBC’s Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Oct. 1 and the Ellen DeGeneres Show Oct. 4.
