After directing two short films, director and actor Matthew McConaughey is ready to venture into something new: music videos. You may know him from The Wedding Planner or A Time to Kill, but McConaughey wants to play a new role, as a director in Jamey Johnson’s new video, "Playing the Part." McConaughey was seen on the set of the video with a gorilla suit.
The two friends first meet at the 2009 ACM Awards in Las Vegas. McConaughey, along with his girlfriend, Camila Alves, stopped by Johnson’s dressing room to congratulate him on his win for Song of the Year with hit "In Color." The admiration went both ways. Johnson surprised McConaughey and performed at his 40th birthday celebration.
