Luke Bryan has a lot to celebrate these days. At a party celebrating his second consecutive No. 1 single, “Rain Is A Good Thing,” Capitol Records Nashville label head Mike Dungan announced Bryan’s most recent album, Doin’ My Thing, had been certified Gold, selling 500,000 copies since its release last October.
“Discovering the album had reached the half-million mark in album sales at the No. 1 party was just icing on the cake,” Bryan said. “My life is so good right now….”
Earlier this year, Bryan also received fan-voted awards from both the CMT and ACM Awards, nominations from the CMA and Teen Choice awards and a surprise at home – the birth of his second son, Tatum Christopher Bryan, just six weeks ago.
Bryan kicks off his second Farm Tour Tuesday, Sept. 28, throughout his home state of Georgia, and he’ll also open for Jason Aldean’s Wide Open Tour later this fall.
