Billy Currington’s new album, Enjoy Yourself, is just what it claims to be, a collection of laid-back songs that are meant to put the listener in a positive mood.
“It’s a good vibe album,” Currington explained. “I hope it’s one of those albums that someone can put in when they’re hanging out in their camp spot or they’re grilling out by their pool and just feel good through the whole thing.”
Growing up, Currington was influenced by the wistful songs of Merle Haggard and George Strait but later discovered he preferred more upbeat music.
“I don’t want to feel that way or make anyone else feel that way when they’re listening to my music. I want people to walk away feeling happy.”
