Artists Auction Off Instruments for Nashville Flood Relief

Brad-Paisley-Keith-Urban
Want to own an instrument from Kenny Chesney, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley or Keith Urban?

That’s what fans will have the chance to do when non-profit organization NASH2O holds an online auction benefiting Nashville flood relief.

George Gruhn, a leading authority on vintage stringed instruments and an organizer of NASH2O after Nashville’s devastating May floods, said there’s something special about these instruments.

“….The NASH2O pieces are the artists’ personal instruments,” said Gruhn. “Peter Frampton’s Les Paul is, well, Peter Frampton’s Les Paul.  Brad Paisley’s Tele-style guitar is Brad’s guitar. You hear that guitar on the records. You saw it in his hands in concert. These are very personal, cherished tools of the trade, and buyers can own a piece of that history….”

Proceeds from the auction will go to MusiCares Nashville Flood Relief Fund, Nashville Musicians Association Flood Relief Fund and Middle Tennessee fire and rescue departments.

NASH2O will host a kick-off reception Oct. 12 at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Nashville. The online auction opens the same day at www.nash2o.org.
