The Band Perry Gets First CMA Awards Nod

The Band Perry has received it’s first nomination for a CMA award and heads into the fall season working a schedule packed with a debut album release and star-studded tour.

The trio, siblings Kimberly, Neal and Reid Perry, signed with Republic Nashville in the summer of 2009 and are thrilled to be the label’s first artists to receive a nomination for a national music award.

“We are so humbled and just downright excited to be nominated for CMA ‘Vocal Group of the Year,’” said Kimberly Perry. “The three of us are huge country music fans and are honored to be in this category with some of our favorite artists. Big love and our deepest thanks to everyone for your rich support.”

A debut album from The Band Perry is set to be released on October 12th and will include current hit single, “If I Die Young,” which is selling more than 40,000 downloads per week and is still climbing from the #18/#19 spots on Billboard/Mediabase charts.

The Band Perry will be opening for CMA New Artist of the Year nominee Chris Young this fall as the trio tours alongside country superstar Alan Jackson. Tickets are available for a November 4th show in Sacramento, Calif. and more tour dates can be found at the group’s website, www.thebandperry.com.
