Due to overwhelming fan demand, Taylor Swift rush-released “Mine,” the lead single from her upcoming album, Speak Now, to iTunes and Country radio on Wednesday, Aug. 4.
An unauthorized low-quality mp3 file of the single appeared online earlier that day. As the file began to spread virally, the decision was made to rush release “Mine.” The single, from Swift’s third album, jumped into the Top 35 on Billboard’s Top Country Songs chart within a couple of hours after it was released to radio.
