Chris LeDoux's Annual Golf Tournament Raises 30k for Charity

Jake-Owen
Golf and Country Music joined forces this weekend in Sheridan, Wyo., when  The 4th Annual Chris LeDoux Spurs and Spikes Memorial Golf Tournament took place. The event raised more than $30,000 for the Chris LeDoux Memorial Foundation, which goes to benefit various charities that were important to the LeDoux family, such as Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.

The tournament, founded by Jerrie Bennett, Pam Kinchen and LeDoux's wife, Peggy, was held at the Powder Horn Golf Club and 36 teams participated. The event lasted two days and included BBQ, live entertainment, a practice round and an auction. Country Music star Jake Owen participated and placed in the tournament.

Tom Balding, a spur craftsman, designed the first place trophies. Balding has created an original pair of silver spurs every year with the tournament name on each spur.
