Vince Gill Featured in Eric Clapton's Guitar Festival Film

Fans will be able to find Vince Gill in theaters this week, as he is one of the artists featured in the film version of Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival. Gill contributed to the film by doing what he does best, playing music.

The film debuted yesterday, July 27, in 475 theaters. Performances featured in the film include ZZ Top, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow Jeff Beck and B.B. King.

Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival was a sold-out event held in Toyota Park, located near Chicago.

Gill spoke with The Boot about his opportunity to perform at the festival.

“It’s so wonderful to be asked. Among musicians like that, we all respect each other so much, it’s a brotherhood and camaraderie. And when someone like Eric asks you to come because he says he’s inviting people that he likes to hear, it makes me feel validated as a guitar player,” said Gill.
