Gwyneth Paltrow Steps Onto Country Stage

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow released a Country single this week that is also the title track for her upcoming film with Tim McGraw, Country Strong. The song was released to Country radio by RCA Records, whose roster also includes Danny Gokey, Martina McBride and Chris Young.
Paltrow didn’t tackle the song alone; Vince Gill and Patty Griffin assisted with backing vocals. “Country Strong,” the song, also offers a listener the first taste of the motion picture soundtrack, scheduled for release on Oct. 26.
In the upcoming film, Paltrow will take the role of a fallen Country star who struggles to return to her former glory. McGraw will portray Paltrow’s husband as well as manager in the film, slated for release to theaters on Dec. 22.
“Country Song” is not the first song Paltrow has released. Her musical talent was also featured in a single performed with Huey Lewis that was a remake of “Cruisin” from the film Duets, released in 2000.
