Steel Magnolia’s Plans Debut Album Release

Steel-Magnolia
The new Country Music duo Steel Magnolia is preparing to release their self-titled debut album on Sept. 21. Steel Magnolia, consisting of Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, have come a long way to where they are now, earning one million downloads of their Top 5 break-out hit, “Keep On Lovin’ You.”

“There is a Queen song called, ‘We are the Champions.’ There’s a line in the song that says…‘It’s been no bed of roses, no pleasure cruise, I consider it a challenge before the whole human race and I ain’t gonna lose.’ It’s true it hasn’t been a bed of roses for me. I grew up dirt poor in Illinois. I don’t think you always have to know how you’re going to do something, you just have to have the determination to do it,” said Jones.

Steel Magnolia wrote seven of the 12 songs on the upcoming album, and even put their own spin on a song Keith Urban sang while with the group The Ranch, “Homespun Love.”

Steel Magnolia met success with two 2010 Academy of Country Music Nominations. The nominations included Vocal Duo of the Year and New Vocal Duo of the Year.
