Brad Paisley to Headline at AquaPalooza 2010

Brad-Paisley
Brad Paisley will perform at the AquaPalooza 2010 Signature Event Saturday, July 10, at The Reserve at Lake Travis near Austin, Texas.

Opening acts will take the stage in front of thousands of concertgoers on boats. There will be nonstop music from the time AquaPalooza kicks off at noon until 7:30 p.m. Paisley will take the stage at 5 p.m.

AquaPalooza will open with a performance by the AquaPalooza Battle of the Bands Winner. The Battle of the Bands will be Friday, July 9, beginning at noon. The contest will be judged by a panel of music industry veterans.

Country up-and-comer Matt Stillwell will take the stage after the Battle of the Band’s performance. Stillwell’s first album, Shine, charted its title track and received radio play for the single “Rain.”

Stillwell will be followed by Joanna Smith. Smith has performed at Nashville’s famed Tootsie’s for several years. The seasoned live performer has signed with Columbia Nashville and recently finished recording her first album.

Lee Brice will take the stage following Smith. Brice is best known for his 2007 hit, “She Ain’t Right,” and current hit, "Love Like Crazy." Brice is also a gifted songwriter, who has written for Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton and Garth Brooks. He has just released a new album, Pictures of Me.

Next up is one of Country’s hottest new artists, Jerrod Niemann. Niemann’s newest single, “Lover, Lover,” is currently climbing the Top 10 chart. His latest album, Judge Jerrod & the Hung Jury, out July 13, will showcase Niemann’s sense of humor as well as his songwriting skills. Niemann was also a co-writer of the Garth Brooks hit “Good Ride Cowboy.”

Headliner Brad Paisley will take the stage at 5 p.m. The Country superstar and Grand Old Opry member’s summer anthem, “Water,” is his 17th No. 1 single. Paisley has released eight studio albums, the most recent of which, American Saturday Night, was ranked as Time magazine’s best of 2009. It is no wonder that the singer, songwriter and guitarist has won three Grammys, 13 Academy of Country Music Awards and 13 Country Music Association Awards. Paisley’s H2O world tour will continue through the fall.

“AquaPalooza has become synonymous with great music and great times on the water,” said Rob Noyes, vice president of marketing for Sea Ray. “We’re very excited to have a performer of Brad Paisley’s caliber headlining this year’s Signature Event, along with a great supporting cast of new and rising country music stars.”

AquaPalooza is a free event. Access will be granted to the rafting line by boat only on a first-come basis beginning at 7 a.m. on July 9. While there will be land-based activities, there will be no land access to the concerts.
