Gloriana will kick off their fan-named Long Hot Summer Tour 2010 on June 24 in Grand Junction, Colo., during Country Jam USA.
The 40-date tour was named after the Country Music group involved fans in a live chat and contest earlier this year.
Performances include stops at the Iowa Speedway on July 11 and the University of Wisconsin on Sept. 1. The band will also be playing at some major summer fairs and festivals.
“We are really looking forward to this tour,” said guitarist Mike Gossin. “With longer sets and performances in new cities across the country—it’s a great opportunity to get out there some more and meet the Country Music fans who have already shown us so much support.”
The group won two fan-voted 2010 ACM Awards for Top New Vocal Group and Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Their 2009 self-titled debut album landed at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200, leading the group to be the best-selling debut Country group in 2009.
Gloriana is also on the ballot for the 2010 Teen Choice Awards for Choice Music: Country Group. Fans between the ages of 13-19 can vote once a day until Aug. 6. Vtes are then tallied and the 12th edition of the Teen Choice Awards will be filmed on Sunday, Aug. 8, at Los Angeles’ Gibson Amphitheatre. FOX will air the program the following day, Monday, at 8 p.m. EST.
“This is definitely going to be a summer to remember,” said vocalist Rachel Reinert. “We cannot wait.”
