Somewhere between a headlining tour and promoting her single and album,
Carrie Underwood still finds the time to plan her upcoming nuptials to Canadian hockey player
Mike Fisher.
"I have a really great planner, and both of us are really busy," Underwood said prior to her CMA Music Fest performance at Nashville's LP Field on Thursday night. "I still have a tour to finish, and there is a lot of great things going on this summer. It's getting through all that and taking one step at a time and lots of phone and e-mail conversations."
The honeymoon is one area where Underwood is in the dark. "I don't know where it is," the superstar explained. "It's a surprise. That was Mike's project, and I have no clue where we're going, which is nice. I know it'll be warm. That's about it."
One tradition the couple isn’t sticking to?
"We really didn't register, because we just want people there," said the smiling 27-year-old. "The basics are always nice, a nice wine or something. We can write your name on it when you come over for dinner. We break it out, but we just want people there. That's the best gift."
Underwood and Fisher have not announced a date for the wedding.
“Undo it,” Underwood’s current single, has climbed into the Top 10 on the Country charts and is the No. 1 digital download of the week.
