The Judds performed in Nashville Thursday to kick off not only the 2010 CMA Music Festival, but also their final tour: The Judds: The Last Encore.

Named by a contest winner in Murfreesboro, Tenn., The Last Encore is the Judds’s first tour since the Power to Change tour 10 years ago. The duo consitsts of mother and daughter Naomi and Wynonna Judd.

After spending 26 years as The Judds, Naomi said she is using the tour as a final celebration of her fans.

“There is nothing like music and laughter to connect people,” Naomi said. “How I’ve missed that encounter with the very ones who’ve allowed us that awesome privilege! I’m counting the days till I can be back on my bus, visiting their towns.”

Wynonna on the other hand, looks forward to spending this final tour with her mother.

“This tour gives me a chance to enjoy where Mom and I are in our relationship. I look forward to celebrating our personal and professional journey...together,” she said.

The tour will kick off on Nov. 26 in Green Bay, Wisc., and will continue on to the Judds’ home state of Kentucky to play in Louisville. The Judds will also play in Salt Lake City, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The Judds will close their final tour in Phoenix, where the Power To Change tour began in 2000.

The Judds: The Last Encore tour will feature new Judds and Wynonna music from their upcoming albums, as well as classic Judds and Wynonna favorites. The Judds will also celebrate the holiday season by performing several classic Christmas songs.
