Clint Black’s ‘Flicka 2’ Premieres in Nashville

Clint-Black
Clint Black’s new movie, Flicka 2, had its Nashville premiere at the Belcourt Theatre Tuesday night, and a handful of his Nashville friends joined him and co-stars Emily Tennant and Reilly Dolman to view it.

Singers Steve Wariner, Brady Seals, Katie Armiger, duo Fast Ryde, Bo Bice and Olympic ice skater Scott Hamilton walked the carpet, as did the movie’s director, Michael Damian.

Black said Flicka 2 is a solid family film.

“My daughter is going to be 9 next month, and the movie does start conversations but it doesn’t raise questions you’re not ready to answer,” said Black, who plays a supporting role to Patrick Warburton in the film.

Black said that after the premiere his focus is shifting back to his music career. He is going into the studio with producer Frank Rogers in May.

Flicka 2, the coming-of-age story of a teen girl who bonds with a wild horse named Flicka, will be released exclusively to Walmart and Sam’s Club on May 4. It is the sequel to the 2006 film starring Country star Tim McGraw and Maria Bello.
