Diamond Rio, Oak Ridge Boys Take Home Dove Awards

Diamond Rio, the Oak Ridge Boys and Ty Herndon were among the winners at the 41st Annual Dove Awards held Wednesday, April 21, at the Acuff Theater in Nashville. Diamond Rio picked up the Country Album Award for The Reason and the Oak Ridge Boys received long-form music video honors for A Gospel Journey. Herndon won a Dove in the Bluegrass Recorded Song category for co-writing “When We Fly” with Joel Lindsay and Wayne Haun. Little Roy Lewis and Lizzy Long recorded the composition for their Breaking Like Dawn album. 

 
Country Recorded Song of the year went to “Somebody Like Me,” written by Neil Thrasher and Michael Boggs and recorded by Jason Crabb.  The Isaacs, a family group, took home the Bluegrass Award Album for The Isaacs…Naturally. Casting Crowns received artist of the year.
