Last week, Lyric Street Records, owned by Walt Disney, announced its closure. The record label was home to several Country Music acts, including Rascal Flatts, Bucky Covington, Love & Theft, Sarah Buxton, Tyler Dickerson, The Parks and Kevin Fowler. Rascal Flatts, Dickerson, Fowler and Covington will be moved over to another Disney imprint while the rest of the acts on the label will be dropped.

Rascal Flatts member Jay Demarcus tweeted last week about the breaking news. "Although we are saddened for the people at Lyric Street whom we have worked so closely with over the last 10 years, we are still very much excited about the new album we are currently making and bringing that new music to our fans."

Demarcus added that the move to a new Disney label "doesn't affect us one bit."
