Mother/daughter duo The Judds are allowing their fans to choose the name of their anticipated 2010 final tour with their aptly named "Name That Tour" contest.
Naomi and Wynonna Judd said in a news release, “We have shared so many memorable moments with our fans over the last 26 years, and we know that we would not be here without their love and support. They are our family of choice, and this tour is truly a family affair. So, it just felt right to ask them to help us name the tour. After all, they are the reason we are embarking on this journey together one last time.”
Wynonna and Naomi will be judging the contest themselves and will look for originality, creativity and the ability to capture the scope of the event. The Judds' pointer: keep it authentic.
The winner will receive a prize package, including a mention in the 2010 Commemorative Judds Tour Book, a personal "thank you" video message from the two and $500 in tour merchandise.
To enter, visit www.wynonna.com and follow the directions the site provides. You will be allowed to submit one entry per person and one tour name. All entires must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on April 23. Only one entry per person. If two entrants submit the same tour name, only the entrant who submitted it first will be credited.
The winning entry will be announced in June.
