Jack Ingram Gears Up for ACM Awards With CBS Performances

Jack-Ingram
Jack Ingram will kick off ACM Awards weekend with two separate performance appearances on CBS. First is a two-song performance on The Early Show on Saturday, April 17. Ingram will head to the ACM stage the next day to perform “Barbie Doll” from his latest album, Big Dreams & High Hopes, during the live broadcast.

“Playing on tv shows with the world ‘early’ in the title isn’t something that many touring musicians look forward to playing,” laughs Ingram. “But I’m actually really excited about it.  I’m even excited about killing myself to get to Vegas for the ACM Awards to perform again the next day…it’s a big deal to me.   It’s an especially big deal because I get to perform a song that I wrote over 10 years ago, and do it in front of 15 million people.  Just another lesson to ‘keep on, keeping on.’”

Ingram is a double nominee as artist and producer this year for “Vocal Event of the Year” for his song “Seeing Stars,” a duet with Patty Griffin. The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards are scheduled to air live from Las Vegas on Sunday, April 18, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
