Mark Chesnutt Heads Overseas To Perform For Troops

Mark-Chesnutt
Country singer Mark Chesnutt is heading overseas with the Tennessee Air National Guard to play for the troops at U.S. Air Force bases in South Korea.

Chesnutt will perform at Camp Casey April 8, Camp Humphreys April 9 and Kunsan Air Base April 10. While in Korea, he will also tour the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that separates North and South Korea.

“I’m very happy to be able to go visit our troops again this year,” Chesnutt said. “These people just want to have a taste of home, and I plan on giving that to them.”

After spending a week in the Middle East last year as part of the“Stars For Stripes tour, which featured stops in Iraq and Kuwait, Chesnutt was presented with the Challenge Coin, a thank you gift from the men and women in uniform. During his visit he performed five separate shows (one in Kuwait and four in Iraq). He enjoyed the opportunity to spend quality time with the troops, including meet and greets in which he made personal introductions with each and every individual.
