Newcomer Brantley Gilbert’s sophomore album, Halfway To Heaven, was released on March 16 and is already No. 3 on iTunes Country Albums Chart. Gilbert is featured as co-writer on the albums 12 tracks.

After hearing about his No. 3 debut, Gilbert exclaimed, “I’m in shock. Our band and everyone in our organization can be really proud of this album” Gilbert speaks about his fans as his friends explaining, "I consider a friend someone who supports you and cares about you. The 'fans' that come to our shows are supporting us, and if they are buying the record to get to know me, then they care. Therefore, they are friends," Gilbert continues, "and I just hope my friends get to know me a little better with this album and know how appreciative I am of their support."

Gilbert’s first album, A Modern Day Prodigal Son, was released in late 2009, featuring favorites such as “G.R.I.T.S.” and “Whenever We’re Alone.” It wasn’t until Jason Aldean’s recording of “The Best of Me” when Gilbert was nationally recognized as a songwriter.

Halfway To Heaven is an album filled with true-to-life testimonials including heartache, trials, triump, and success. Tracks 1-6 explain Gilbert’s life leading up to his nearly fatal car accident and tracks 7-12 symbolize his life today.
