Last week Blake Shelton’s latest album, Hillbilly Bone, sold 71,000 units and debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 charts. With this ranking, it is Shelton’s highest album debut to date.
Now, his hit single of the same title is the No. 1 single on both the Billboard charts and the Country Aircheck charts. He and fellow Country Music singer Trace Adkins teamed up for the hit.
"I’m honored how Country radio has embraced me over the last 10 years," said Shelton. "You dream of having a No. 1 song all your life and now Country radio has blessed me with six. I want to personally thank every program director, music director and on-air personality who has played this single. Thank you all for your support over the years! I also want to thank John Esposito, Bob Reeves and the Warner Music Nashville promotion team. I am forever grateful for the support you guys have given me. I couldn't ask for a better family. Last, but definitely not least, I want to thank Trace Adkins for singing on this song. He definitely helped bring it home to No. 1.”
‘Hillbilly Bone’ is Shelton’s sixth No. 1 single, and to celebrate his accomplishments, he will be appearing on the E! Entertainment’s Chelsea Lately on March 18.
