Sarah Buxton may be the most recognized Country Music artist who’s never actually had a CD released, until now. Her self-titled debut was released this week.
“I just started crying when I saw the CD,” Sarah said. “there was a time when I thought it would never happen.”
Buxton is best known as a two-time Academy of Country Music nominee for Best New Female Vocalist and as the writer of Keith Urban’s Grammy- winning hit, “Stupid Boy.” She is presently opening on tour for Martina McBride and Trace Adkins.
The lead single off her new release, “Outside My Window,” was written after she saw a bird crashing into a window several times. The video for the single, according to GACTV.com, was shot for $80 -- no, that’s not a misprint. Buxton said she used the experience of seeing the bird to develop a song about the crazy things going on in this world.
Buxton was featured in a GAC special, Premiere: Sarah Buxton, on Tuesday night. You can catch it in reruns in the future.
