Alan Jackson’s “Freight Train” Tour Hits the Tracks in April

Alan Jackson’s Freight Train tour kicks off on April 8 at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla., and will continue for two months and 15 cities. Josh Turner and Chris Young are set to open for Jackson.

Jackson’s tour comes right on the heels of the March 30 release of his album, Freight Train. The album includes eight Jackson original songs plus four more, including “It’s Just That Way,” the first single, and a duet with Lee Ann Womack on the Vern Gosdin classic, “Till the End.”

When asked about the title track, Jackson said, “It sounded different and just kind of stuck out.  I guess when you really think about it, man, we've been rolling along here for a lot of years, just going like a freight train.”

Jackson will launch the album with March 30 appearances on Today and the Late Show with David Letterman, an April 14 appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and an April 15 appearance on Ellen, his first appearance on that show.

Tickets for the Freight Train tour are already on sale in select markets. Check www.alanjackson.com for more on sale dates.
