Buddy-Jewell

The Nashville-area Red Cross and the Music City Community Chorus will team up tonight for the "Hallelujah for the Red Cross" benefit concert. The show will feature country singers Buddy JewellPam Tillis, as well as John Cowan, Melanie Denard and Troy Johnson. Proceeds from the event will be shared between the Music City Community Chorus and the Red Cross Haiti relief effort.

The Nashville chapter of the Red Cross recently pledged to forward all money raised on behalf of the Red Cross to disaster relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Haiti. The 7.3 magnitude earthquake, which struck last Tuesday near the capital of Port-au-Prince, caused severe damage to the area.

The event will be held in downtown Nashville at Limelight. Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at www.limelightnashville.com.
