Country Music singer Steve Azar will join the list of celebrities in the line up for the 51st Bob Hope Classic. The five-day music/golf event will be held from Jan. 18-24 on various golf course venues around Palm Springs, Calif.
To date the event has donated more than $47 million to charities throughout Coachella Valley. Other celebrity appearances from past classics include greats such as Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Desi Armaz, Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, James Garner, Clint Eastwood and Bill Murray.
This year promises to be a star studded event as well. Joining Azar will be celebrities Kurt Russell, Alice Cooper, Emmitt Smith, Dr. Phil and Kevin Nealon just to name a few.
Azar is no stranger to golf as he has been ranked among the Top 5 musician golfers by Golf Digest. He was also recently featured on an episode of Playing Lessons from the Pros, a new series on the Golf Channel. Azar was teamed up with 13-time PGA champ and Kentucky native Kenny Perry.
Musically, Azar recently released the single "Sunshine" off of his newest record, Slide On Over Here. Critics have already claimed it a “sure fire hit.”
