Chely Wright's absence from the recent Country Music scene have left fans wondering what the singer has been up to. Our questions will be answered this year as Wright returns with three big projects in 2010, including new music.
For the past three years, Wrigt has been working on a new album with Grammy award-winning producer Rodney Crowell. This new album, Lifted Off the Ground, will be released on May 4, with the first single from the album,"Broken," to be out in mid-March.
Wright will also unveil her memoir, Like Me, on May 4. Like her album, the singer has been working on the book for the past three years.
Her last major project coming up in 2010 is The Reading, Writing, and Rhythm Benefit Show on June 8. The event will kick off the 2010 CMA Music Festival at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. This is the 10th anniversary of the event, which has raised more than $1 million to support music programs in public schools all over the country
