Country heartthrob Luke Bryan landed his first No. 1 single, “Do I,” off his new album Doin’ My Thing Monday on Country Aircheck/MediaBase chart. The single’s music video has also spent seven consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the GAC Top 20 Countdown.

Bryan, Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood co-wrote the song and already, “Do I” has acquired a 37.2 million audience for the singles chart of Dec. 1, 2009. That is the fifth largest weekly audience of any single on the BDS/Billboard chart in 2009.

Bryan’s album Doin’ My Thing has ranked No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 album chart. It sold over 57,000 albums in the first week of release, doubling the first week sales of his first album I’ll Stay Me, and “Do I,” is the highest charting single of his career.

Bryan has stayed busy this year, and earlier this month he wrapped up his first headlining tour, Doin’ My Thing Tour, sponsored by Miller Lite. The native performed a special concert his hometown of Leesburg, Georg and kicked off his Farm Tour show in Statesboro, Georg. Bryan put on the shows, so he could give back to a charity or organization in local farming communities.

Catch Bryan on the road performing some of his own headlining shows, and as opening act most dates on Jason Aldean’s Wide Open Tour.
