After a widely successful fall tour, platinum artist Jason Aldean has extended his Wide Open tour for nearly 30 more shows in 2010. Aldean will be joined on the second leg of the tour by fellow Georgian Luke Bryan.
An up-and-coming musician that followed in Aldean's footsteps, Bryan started playing the same local hot spots Aldean did before taking on a larger stage. Bryan's second studio album, Doin' My Thing, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country charts and No. 6 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
“Luke and I grew up playing in some of the same clubs down in Georgia, so it will be really cool to have him out with us…playing bigger rooms with bigger crowds,” said Aldean. “He’s a total trip, so we’ll definitely have some laughs backstage every night. I’m pumped about this tour, and I can’t wait to take a few weeks off for the holidays and get right back out there.”
The second leg of the tour will begin Jan. 22 and cover nearly 30 cities, beginning in Greenville, S.C., with a stop at their hometown at the Macon Centerplex Coliseum in Macon, Ga.
With hit singles such as "Big Green Tractor" and "She's Country," Aldean's latest album, Wide Open, spent nine total weeks in the No. 1 spot on the Country charts.
