George Strait is making a return to movies, as he is teaming up with director Chris Cain to make 'A Pure Country Gift,' a follow-up to the 1992 film 'Pure Country.'
Strait will have a role in the film, but this time he won't be the focal point. According to cinemablend.com, the star of the film will be Katrina Elam and she will play a young woman who was gifted with a singing voice by three angels as a baby. The angels give her some rules to live by, but according to Cain, "in her climb to fame and fortune, she breaks some of the angels' rules, so they take away her big voice."
Cain is actually the father of Dean Cain, who played Superman in the 90s TV series 'Lois & Clark.' The father-son team co-wrote the movie's screenplay, and Dean will have a role in the movie.
