CMA Songwriters Series Returns to Music City

Randy-Houser
Country Music fans are gearing up for the 43rd Annual CMA Awards by celebrating the work of Country songwriters as the CMA Songwriters Series returns to Music City. The show will take place at Nashville's Limelight on Nov. 10.
The show that became famous in New York City, with recent performances in Chicago and Los Angles, is returning to Nashville for a showing the night before the CMA Awards. The show, which allows fans to witness recordings from the original songwriters and hear the stories behind hit songs, grew to prominence almost five years ago.
This year's CMA Songwriter Series featured artist/songwriter, Randy Houser, rushed to the music scene with his first Top 20 hit, "Anything Goes"; however, his music credentials are much longer than that. He has also written songs for hit artists, including Tace Adkins' "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk."
Joining him on stage this year are veteran musicians and songwriters Brett James, Rivers Rutherford, and Victoria Shaw.
James is noted for having written Carrie Underwood's hit single "Jesus Take The Wheel" and Kenny Chesney's "When The Sun Goes Down." Rutherford is credited for his work on "If You Ever Stop Loving Me" by Montgomery Gentry and Tim McGraw's "Real Good Man." Shaw is known for her work on the Garth Brooks hit "The River" and John Michael Montgomery's "I Love The Way You Love Me."
Tickets for the event are $10 and are on sale now. Visit www.limelightnashville.com or call (615) 780-3098.
