Call Keith Urban a Cab

Keith Urban has proven he is perfectly capable of hailing a cab all on his own, as he chose a yellow taxi as his exit strategy for his Buffalo, N.Y., concert this month.

While his final song of the night, "Better Life," was still being played onstage, Urban took off through the back halls of the HSBC Arena. He made his way outside, donned a jacket as he walked out into the streets and hailed a taxi, all with a bodyguard and assistant alongside, of course. Fans inside the arena got a 60-foot view of Urban's escape through the screens onstage.

Country Standard Time reported Urban's explanation: "The yellow taxi is synonymous with New York City, and I was trying to figure out how I could incorporate it into the show. I think I did it...not to mention that I beat the rush for cabs after the concert let out." Urban enjoyed his exit strategy so much that he did again the next night for another show.

For anyone not attending that final show of Urban's North American tour, fans can catch Urban's unique exit online, at Urban's official Web site.

This week it was announced Urban will join an all-star Country Music lineup for the 86th Annual Bayou Country Superfest in Baton Rouge. La. The May 2010 festival will also feature Taylor Swift, Brooks & Dunn and Kenny Chesney.
