Garth Brooks has officially come out of retirement, as if he hadn’t already. Garth Brooks announced today (October 15, 2009) he will play the Las VegasEncore Hotel & Casino! It will be a one man show (just Garth and his guitar) for 5 years, 15 weeks/yr and all tickets will be $125! The shows will start during the second weekend of the National Finals Rodeo (Dec.11). All shows will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so Garth will be able to remain a major part of his daughters' lives and fulfill a promise to them to be there, at home, until they were all 18 and in college.
Tickets go on-sale Saturday, October 24. Steve Wynn, the owner of the Encore Casino, has pledged to take "evasive action" away from ticket scalpers so ticket prices don't get driven to extreme levels.
Garth Brooks originally retired after his 1996, 1997, 1998 World Tour.
