Warner Bros. Records Artist Blake Shelton teams up with his long-time friend Trace Adkins to show we all have a hillbilly side in us with his new single, “Hillbilly Bone.” On Monday, Oct. 12, Shelton’s fan club members will get a special treat when “Hillbilly Bone” will be available for them to preview for 24 hours via logging into their BSers Fan Club account. Also, starting Tuesday, Oct. 13, fans can stream the song exclusively for two weeks at www.blakeshelton.com. The single will impact radio on November 2 and the music video single will be available on November 3.

“When I first heard ‘Hillbilly Bone,’ I knew it was one of those songs that would kick the door down, and who better to kick the door down with me than my buddy Trace,” says Shelton. “It’s one of those songs you can’t get out of your head, and for Trace and I both, it was one of those songs that made sense since we are pretty much both ‘Hillbilly’ to the core.”

The single, written by Luke Laird and Craig Wiseman, is a comedic, up-tempo, catchy, sing-along song about being so different, but yet really the same. “Hillbilly Bone” is the first single from Shelton’s forthcoming CD release. The release will be the follow up to Shelton’s album, Startin’ Fires, which was released in November of 2008.

Shelton has released five studio albums, his most recent Startin' Fires. His current hit single, "I’ll Just Hold On," made it into the Top 10 on the country singles charts and was the follow up to his back-to-back multi-week #1 singles "She Wouldn’t Be Gone” and “Home.”  Shelton's hits also include his six-week #1 debut single, "Austin," and two additional multi-week #1 singles with "The Baby” and “Some Beach.” Blake recently ended several dates on George Strait’s summer tour.

With his unmistakable basement-deep voice, Adkins has twenty-seven charted hit singles, 14 of which broke Billboard’s Top 10. His albums have achieved Gold or multi-Platinum certification and three have made their debut at #1. Adkins has received a string of nominations from multiple music award shows including CMT, the CMA's, and the GRAMMYS. In 2008, he won the ACM Single of the Year Award for the chart-topping song, “You’re Gonna Miss This.”  His latest hit single climbing the charts is "All I Ask For Anymore," the tender ballad from X, his tenth album on Capitol Records Nashville.
