Josh Turner's new video for his single, "Why Don't We Just Dance," premieres today at 8:00pm ET on GAC. The song is off of Turner's upcoming album, Haywire, set to be released Feburary 9, 2010.
The video travels through the decades. "We actually start in the 1950s and work our way through to the present," says Turner. "I thought it was a great concept because it shows that the song has a timeless message. Every decade has had its hard times and sometimes it's good for people to step back and say, 'Why Don't We Just Dance?' Let's forget about the bad news and just focus on each other."
The video features an all star team, with award-winning directors Robert Deaton and George Flannigan, and the dancers, Ciaran McCarthy and Ashley Anderson, who are married in real life.
When asked what Turner's favorite decade of the video was he had to go with the '80's, he said, "I laughed out loud when I saw the dancers' wardrobe for the 80's scene. It brought back a lot of memories."
