Rodney Atkins, Heidi Newfield Lined Up to Help Second Harvest Food Bank

Craig-Wiseman

The 5th annual Stars for Second Harvest benefit show is being held Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Songwriter Craig Wiseman is hosting the concert featuring acoustic performances by Rodney Atkins, Phil Vassar and Heidi Newfield. Country stars Luke Bryan and Joey & Rory, along with comedian Gary Mule Deer and songwriters Jeffrey Steele and Tony Mullins were just announced as performers as well.

The evening, sponsored by O’Charley’s, is intended to raise awareness about hunger in Nashville.

"This is our 5th year and it's more star filled than ever," said Wiseman. "I am so honored to have the best artists and writers in this town out for this. It is a great show and such a worthy cause; helping feed the hungry when the need is high. I am extremely grateful to be a part of this and work with all of the people who are helping make this event so special."

Event tickets can be purchased for $35 at ticketmaster.com or, for preferred seating, call Second Harvest Food Bank at (615)329-3491.
