With the recent hype over Jason Aldean's hit single, "Big Green Tractor," Aldean has proven that he is capable of holding his own amongst some of Country music's most elite performers.
From his third studio album, Aldean's "Big Green Tractor" is currently in its fourth week on top of both Billboard and Mediabase charts.
Over 18 months ago, in Feb. 2008, Brad Paisley's "Letters to Me" was the last Country single to spend four consecutive weeks at No. 1.
"Big Green Tractor" has also made Aldean the first Country artist to reach No. 1 on Billboard's all-genre Ringscan chart, placing him ahead of such artists as Jay Z, Mariah Carey, The Black Eyed Peas and Drake.
"This is crazy. The guys I've always looked up to...my heroes...are the ones who are supposed to be sitting up there at the top," said Aldean of his latest success. "Man, I feel like I'm constantly thanking Country radio and the fans, but they truly are a huge part of the reason I'm having such a great year. It motivates me to go out and work harder than I ever have before. The fans and all their energy and support are fueling everything I'm doing right now...it feels incredible!"
