When Garth Brooks served as a captain for Chelsea, a British soccer team, with Trisha Yearwood recently, he was put in charge of the pre-game coin toss. Simple as the task may seem, Brooks had a little trouble.
Before the game, Brooks tried to flip the coin, but flubbed it on camera, according to GAC. Apparently, he tossed the coin right into his own face and a photo of it appeared on TMZ.com.
The Country star was thankfully able to laugh the incident off. He had bigger things to worry about that day since the Chelsea team is partnered for fundraising with his own charity, Teammates for Kids Foundation.
"Connecting the two charities at a world-class soccer event helps bring recognition to the importance of helping children through sports," Brooks told Goal.com.
Fortunately, the awkward coin toss did not faze the Chelsea football team. They shut out Club America 2-0 and claimed the title of the tournament.
