The complex mixture of bluegrass, country and soul that the Charlie Daniels Band has brought to the stage for the past half a century returns to Nashville to mix and mingle with Nashville’s Songwriters Association International. NSAI News reports that on Thursday, Aug. 27, the CBD will perform at the Wild Horse Saloon following a show by Old Union.
“NSAI is honored that an American icon of Charlie Daniels’ stature recognizes our hard work in legislative advocacy on behalf of all songwriters. No one represents our motto, “IT ALL BEGINS WITH A SONG” better than the man whose music has crossed so many boundaries and genres to mark the moments of our lives,” said NSAI President Steve Bogard.
Nashville has been deprived of a live CDB experience for the past four years. NSAI Executive Director Bart Herbison said, “The truth is we are all huge fans and are so excited about this special night."
Tickets range in price from $25-100, with the pricier tickets including a back stage meet and greet with the band. Wild Saloon will open its doors to fans around 6 p.m., though the show doesn’t begin until 7:30 p.m.
