Lifetime network’s most prestigious drama series, Army Wives, recently welcomed singer-songwriter Shelby Lynne to the set. Lynne joined the cast to play character Stella Raye and also performed her newest tracks, “Beat the Blues” and “Like a Fool.”
Both songs are part of her new album, expected to drop in 2010. Lynne’s earlier album, Just a Little Lovin, paid tribute to the late Dusty Springfield while receiving praise from the New York Times Magazine, USA Today, LA Times and CNN Headline News.
Lynne’s episode of Army Wives is set to air Aug. 9 at 10 p.m. EST.
