Vince, Five Others New to Music City Walk of Fame

10/12/2007 Stephen L. Betts Rodney Crowell, Vince Gill, and Barbara Mandrell are among the latest inductees to the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville. Also being inducted are rock legend Jimi Hendrix, songwriter Bob DiPiero, and music publisher Buddy Killen. The six honorees will be recognized with the unveiling of commemorative sidewalk markers on Monday, Nov. 5, at 3 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Park in downtown Nashville. The induction ceremony, which is sponsored by GAC, is free and open to the public. The Music City Walk of Fame, on Nashville's Music Mile, was created in the fall of 2006 as a landmark tribute to those from all genres of music who have made significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and have contributed to the world through song or other industry collaboration.
