At the 2008 Video Music Awards show, Country Music star Taylor Swift was nominated as Best New Artist, but spent the pre-show working as an MTV News' red carpet fashion correspondent.
For the Sept. 13 VMA's the video network has asked Swift to be a featured musical act. "I'm so excited that MTV and the VMAs have invited me to perform, because I think this year's show will be unlike anything they've ever done!" Swift said of the upcoming show.
The Country Music pop star will perform her new single, "You Belong With Me," and she promises quite the scene for her onstage VMA debut. "I love incorporating theatrics into my performances, and the VMAs have always allowed artists to run with that," she said.
