Songwriter Vince Melamed Releases Solo Album

Vince-Melamed
Award-winning songwriter Vince Melamed released his debut solo album, What Matters Most, yesterday, June 23. Melamed is highly praised in the music industry for penning Country hits such as "Walkaway Joe," for Trisha Yearwood, "I'll Take That As a Yes," for Phil Vassar, Boy Howdy's "She'd Give Anything" and many more. He is also known for being a sideman for such artists as Bob Dylan, Rosanne Cash, The Eagles and Jimmy Buffett.

After joining new indie record label, Adroit Records, Melamed teamed up with fellow songwriters Bob DiPiero, Jim Photoglo and Gary Burr to create new cuts for his debut album, which will also include some of his older Country hits.

But what some may not be expecting from this record is an alternative rock sound. "I'm basically a rock-'n'-roll guy, and Jim Tract at Adroit gets that," Melamed said. "He brought in some great musicians for the sessions."
