Martina McBride Raises $72,000 for YWCA

Martina-McBride
On Saturday, June 13, Martina McBride was on hand along with other Country Music artists such as Jason Michael Carroll, Chris Young, Bo Bice and Erika Dunlap, to help with the 26th Annual Yong Women Committed to Action Auction. The event was held at the Nashville Hall of Fame Park and raised a total of $72,195.

Items which raised the most money included an autographed quilt made of vintage tour shirts from McBride, which sold for $3,600, and a Dolly Parton signed guitar, which went for $4,000, as well as 2 VIP tickets to any Keith Urban concert that sold for $2,600.

McBride also donated the dress she wore during her performance for Stevie Wonder at the White House earlier this year. She supports the YWCA for it's efforts in helping to rebuild education systems as well as eliminate racism, violence, abuse and poverty in Middle Tennessee. For more information, visit www.ywcanashville.com.
