Legendary singer Willie Nelson is releasing a new album of standards this summer, American Classic. This is the first album of standards since 1978's Stardust, and the CD will feature guest appearances by Norah Jones and Diana Krall.
Nelson has assembled a group of talented musicians for the project, such as Johnny Mandel for string arrangements pianist Joe Sample, bassist Christian McBride, drummer Lewis Nash and Nelson's own backing band, with Mickey Raphael.
American Classic will be available August 25. The album's track listing:
