Fans attending the CMA Music Festival this year will have extra opportunities to enjoy free activities and concerts in addition to the traditional concerts. The CMA Music Festival Zones are the place to be for free live music, events and family activities during the 2009 CMA Music Festival this Thursday through Sunday, June 11-14, in downtown Nashville.

"In these trying economic times, we're proud to provide free activities for families, music lovers, sporting enthusiasts, and everyone in between. We're excited the Metro Government of Nashville and the Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau partnered with us to add the Music City Zone to the 2009 CMA Music Festival. It's yet another wonderful way to showcase all the great music Nashville has to offer!," said CMA Chief Executive Officer Tammy Genovese.

The Music City Zone, GAC Stage, the Sommet Center Plaza Stage, the Fun Zone, the Sports Zone and the Dr. Pepper-McDonald’s Family Zone will offer activities all day long each day of the CMA Music Festival. In addition, concerts at the Daytime Stage at Riverfront Park are free and open to the public. Full concert and demonstration schedules can be found on CountryHound’s CMA Music Festival page or at CMAfest.com.

Single tickets to the individual Nightly Concerts at LP Field are on sale for $40 for reserved seats on the lower and club levels and $30 for general admission in the upper deck of LP Field (plus applicable handling fees).
