Taylor Swift Doesn’t Feel Competitive

While pop music has a history of rivalries between female musicians, Taylor Swift said in a recent interview that her peers are some of her closest friends, rather than competition, TheBoot.com wrote. Miranda Lambert and Swift are known to trade text messages and BFF Kellie Pickler is an opening act on Swift’s Fearless tour.

“With me, I’d have a lot less friends if I were competitive,” Swift told Deseret (Utah) News. “I feel like it's so much more fun to think of these girls as friends and hang out with them then to feel like there is constant competition. I compete with myself.”
The 19-year-old also understands that while things are going well for her currently, that could change if she doesn't continue to work for it. "I know things are really good now, but I know if I don't work and plan ahead and think about the moves I make, I know I could become irrelevant," she said.
