Despite being only 4’11”, Little Jimmy Dickens is a giant among Country Music stars. He has always been able to perform successfully in a big man’s world.

As one of the Grand Ole Opry’s main ambassadors, Dickens will perform in the newest edition of GAC's Master Series, which debuts on Sunday at 11 a.m. EST. Dickens was able to work with Opry stalwarts Minnie Pearl, Eddy Arnold and Ernest Tubb. He remembers being present when Hank Williams wrote the classic “Hey Good Lookin’.”

"I thought I was a hot shot," he told GAC’s Bill Cody. "I thought I was ready for what I was going to do at the Grand Ole Opry, but I just started to school when I came here." Dickens celebrated the 50th anniversary of his Opry membership last year.

Dickens will be back at the Opry this weekend. The show’s lineup also includes Mark Chestnutt, Patty Loveless, Crystal Gayle, Mark Wills, Kathy Mattea and newcomers the Carter Twins.
